Patient ZIP Code & Census Block Maps
Built-in ZIP code border maps and miles radius features allow "on-the-fly" data exploration enhanced by embedded links to U.S. Census Bureau information. The size of the marks on the map is relative to the number of visits.
Each dot is a pie chart that show the proportion of visits for each of the selected facilities. Clicking on the dots allows a user to see the number of patients per facility. Kaavio also provides quick analysis on market share data.
Access any ZIP code's population, median age, race and median household income data in addition to the WHAIC data sets.
To look at a more granular area, Kaavio provides the ability to search by census block groups. Census block groups are more precise and consistent in population size than a ZIP code. Typically, block groups have a population of 600 - 3,000 people. Just like the patient ZIP code map, the size of the marks on the map is relative to the number of visits.
Box & Whisker Charts
Box & Whisker charts illustrate the distribution of total charges. The median charge is located between the two shaded areas of the chart. The blue dots outside the whiskers represent charge outliers. The blue dots can be selected, and users are able to view a detail report to view the elements of the outlier visits.
